COVID has taken its toll on everyone, whether physically, emotionally or financially. BITS is no exception. We are working harder than ever to help the increased number of people in our community combat depression, anxiety and loss. Costs of doing so has grown, as expense of caring for our horses has grown nearly 200% due to COVID. We need your help to support BITS in any way you can. By making a recurring donation to BITS, YOU will help us lift our community from the harmful impacts of COVID.

Challenge

COVID-19 has and continues to wreak havoc on many individuals physically, the pandemic has also had considerable impact on mental health as well. Due to isolation, change in routine, and loss of recreational activities, many have developed depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Currently in the US, 1 in every 4 Americans is diagnosed with a mental health disorder and every 1 in 5 teenagers experience these challenges as well, while thousands are waiting for the help they need.

Long-Term Impact

BITS ETC's community of staff, volunteers, clients and supporters work together today so our most vulnerable suffer fewer long-lasting effects of COVID-19. Our clients connect with horses each week, building confidence levels, improving their mental health, and work towards overall wellness. Our programs have a long impact on our clients, especially our youth and children, as we aid them in developing positive coping skills during these difficult times.
