This project will see to the needs of the physically challenged persons in society, those starved of services and mostly ignored by society, live in isolation, segregation, poverty, charity and even pity. These include; the blind, leprosy-cured, hearing impairment, loco motor disability, mental retardation and mental illness. Due to discrimination they do not go to public places and not free to get those rights which a non-disabled person gets. They are deprived of education and employment.

Challenge

Persons with disabilities in Lagos persistently face stigma, discrimination, and barriers to accessing basic social services and economic opportunities. Today, they face greater barriers brought about by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Persons with disabilities face difficulties accessing adequate health services, often being limited by the availability of accessible hospitals and personnel who are aware of and specialized in disability inclusion.

Long-Term Impact

This project in the long-term will make a profound impact in the lives of physically disabled. . helping them to become more independent and confident in their own abilities. Every day is a chance to do something different and make a difference. The homes for the disabled should be designed in such a way that it is more comforting to them. Also, no matter how small the contribution is, one can always help the needy in their own little ways.
