Kuska School provides alternative high quality school education to rural children in Peru who cannot otherwise access or afford it. 78% of the children at our school are beneficiaries of the Kuska Scholarship Fund this year. Your donation goes towards infrastructure and maintenance, learning materials, classroom improvements and healthy lunches.

Challenge

In our community there is a large percentage of children in situations of violence and family abandonment, many children of unemployed families, a high rate of alcoholism among the adult population, malnutrition and anemia in young children. Covid - 19 accentuates these problems and adds to the health crisis. Despite so much adversity, education cannot stop and children cannot deprive themselves of this right.

Long-Term Impact

The children who will leave school will have received a good quality education, with knowledge of English as a second language and Quechua (the native language originating in the Peruvian Andes), understanding of technology, which will allow them to develop their full potential in whatever field they choose, academically, personally and emotionally. We firmly believe that education is key to solving so many of the issues in our community.
