In the Bay Area 1 in 5 children are living in poverty, according to a recent study conducted by Stanford's Center for Poverty and Inequality. In an area of vast wealth and technology, many children go without any gifts during the holidays as their parents struggle to make ends meet. By fulfilling the holiday wishes of these children, we are not only creating positive holiday memories but we are also giving them the resources to spark educational curiosity.

Challenge

These children do not have the same advantages as their peers when the holiday season arrives and are very much aware that their circumstances are different. Because of this, they feel that they are not a part of the community. They also do not have access to the same resources that their peers do to the educational aspects of the toys they desire.

Long-Term Impact

When we fulfill the holiday wish of a child, we are creating a positive impact in their life through the creation of happy memories focused around the community that helped them. The toys they play with and learn from will inspire their life long passions and create a more enthusiastic workforce for the future.
