Imagine the joy of a kid with a disability who will now be able to attend a school like his friends. For a person who is not able to move out of his home, it is extremely difficult to access educational and economic opportunities. We are in urgent need of 50 wheelchairs for our colleagues with disabilities who want to use them for their access to education and vocational training.
Challenge
Mobility is one of the biggest barriers that keep a person with a disability in the vicious circle of poverty. We have a waitlist of 60 individuals with disabilities who urgently need wheelchairs. Their financial condition does not allow them to afford a good quality wheelchair that is medically suitable for their indoor and outdoor usage.
Long-Term Impact
60 wheelchairs mean 60 improved lives. Imagine the joy of a kid with disability who will now be able to reach school for the first time in life.
