We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to thrive, regardless of where they come from. We work to break the cycle of poverty and empower rural communities in Mpumalanga, SA, through education, food security, health services and emotional support to women and children particularly in the area of early childhood development.

Challenge

Children are a particularly vulnerable group within severely poverty stricken communities. There are over 4 million orphans in South Africa, about half of whom have lost one or both parents to AIDS, with the majority of these children living in child-headed households or with elderly relatives. These vulnerable families, who have little or no access to education, healthcare & social services are Topsy's beneficiaries. Topsy's serves 3 impoverished communities in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

Long-Term Impact

We are contributing to building a future generation of well adjusted children in poverty stricken, rural communities in the hope that they reach their full potential.
