The innovative School of English for Engaged Social Service (SENS) trains young adults to take leadership for sustainability of the planet, of our societies, and of the human spirit. The skills and qualities needed to work for personal, social, and ecological resilience are diverse. Our curriculum integrates training not only in English but also in self-awareness and appreciation, mutual support, understanding social and ecological challenges, and leading from a place of deep inner confidence.

Challenge

The diverse communities of Asia face problems common to all of humanity, though local manifestations may differ. They are at root problems of sustainability--the planet is threatened by climate change and destruction of environments. Our societies are threatened by inequality, violence, and a lack of participation. Our relationships are threatened by competition, distrust, and insecurity. We need leaders of integrity who will work for the personal and social transformations needed in our time.

Long-Term Impact

Meeting the challenges of our time will require leadership from every sector of society. We train Asian young adults who demonstrate a readiness to work for a safe and abundant future for all. Many are from marginalized communities and lack the resources to attend a quality personalized program like SENS. Your donation to the SENS Scholarship Fund enables worthy students to begin a lifelong journey of setting goals, working together to achieve them, and making a benign impact on their societies.
