This Project focus on children at the villages and schools in the soci-economically disadvantaged areas of the cities at Turkey, where there is substantial inequality in terms of access to quality education.TEGV will provide tablets for free to the 100 children at schools,so they will also facilitate the participation of children in the EBA system created by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education for distance education. They will have opportunity to attend TEGV digital education.

Challenge

In Turkey,12% of households have no internet access,82% have no desktop computer and 51% have no laptop computer. As of 2020,50% of our children lack the technological means to attend distance lessons. This data suggests that during the pandemic, devising distance learning systems and digital course content is not sufficient by itself. For children from low-income families to have equal education opportunities, they must be provided with technological hardware in the form of in-kind assistance.

Long-Term Impact

Children's education will not be interrupted whether they can or cannot attend school; on the contrary, they will grow up as children who master digital devices. Until today, we offered tablet PCs to 4.133 children from 204 schools(74 village&130 city center)at 28 different cities in Turkey. These children can now access TEGV's digital platform and follow the MONEs courses. Please support us reach out to more tablets for children education.
