What would the world look like if a billion people were practicing emotional intelligence? At Six Seconds, the world's largest emotional intelligence network, we research and share scientific, global, transformational tools & methods to support that goal. Since 1997 we have reached 9.6M people in schools, workplaces, families and communities to practice emotional intelligence. Changing communities and countless lives for good. Our model teaches how to actually use and grow emotional intelligence
Challenge
Most world challenges aren't due to a lack of data or technical skills, they're emotional and relational. World Economic Forum's 8 of 10 top skills are EQ essentials like problem solving, self management & relational skills. Global mental health is also an urgent need, 264 million people of all ages suffer depression. Six Seconds provides training, metrics, tools & content to equip our network to support. It's not enough to know about emotional intelligence, you have to apply the skills of EQ.
Long-Term Impact
Six Seconds network spans 200+ countries and territories and works in four areas: Educational Transformation: We help schools and universities improve learning outcomes. Youth Wellbeing & Leadership: We create engaging and fun content to teach emotional wellbeing skills. Social Impact & Equity We recognize the dignity and worth of all people to build a more compassionate society. Organizational Effectiveness & Leadership: We increase people performance for better workplaces and communities.
