This project will ensure at least 30 people fleeing a domestic violence relationship trans-nationally will receive danger-to-safety relocation and reintegration services.
Challenge
We serve American women & children living in foreign countries who are victims of domestic violence & child abuse, via crisis email. Crisis email advocates work with victims, empowering them to make the decisions necessary to live a life without violence for themselves & their children while navigating the complicated system that hinders them from fleeing the violence and returning to the USA. We offer counseling, relocation, housing, legal assistance & emergency needs.
Long-Term Impact
Each year we provide battered American women and children with information and services necessary to enable them to live their lives without violence. Since 2001 we have helped over 10,000 women and children free themselves from abuse.
