This Project will provide a sustainable Livelihood to 25 marginalized Girls aged between 15- 35 by Vocational skill training of fashion designing and Sewing, Handicraft and Hand Bag making. The project targets out-of-school girls, street girls, orphans and adolescent mothers. A reliable source of income has the power to transform their lives and the lives of their families.
Challenge
Due to unemployment most marginilized young girls take unethical way for livelihood as prostitution, thievery, smuggling. In addition, due to COVID19, currently there is immense poverty, but the situation becomes very worst for out of school young girls, who are at higher risks of rape and unwanted pregnancies due to poverty and lack of knowledge or other alternatives.
Long-Term Impact
The project seeks to empower young women by enabling them earn income and build a community of support through the the cooperative. The cooperative participants will acquire the knowledge and skills they need to earn a sustainable income to support themselves and their families. The cooperative will save and reinvest 50% of all income-generated to insure long-term sustainability and growth of the project.
