We're an NGO working to protect the Amazon rainforest in Peru, home to more species of plants and animals than anywhere else on Earth. The Amazon and its unmatched biodiversity are under threat by climate change and other human activities, and we work with our local community to address these challenges. Our projects span research, reforestation, and education, and your support is key to keeping them going. With your help, we can save the Amazon!
Challenge
As the world struggles to find a way out of the climate crisis, we're dealing with the impacts of global warming right now in the Peruvian Amazon. Each year, the annual dry season is longer and drier, leading to more and more destructive fires. Illegal logging and gold mining are also taking their toll, as is uncontrolled agricultural expansion. The Amazon, both the world's largest and most biodiverse rainforest, is under acute threat. Will you join us in the fight to save it?
Long-Term Impact
All donations will go directly to our long-term projects, which are designed to make lasting change and must keep going. Our biological research is showing the impact of human activity and how we can protect species. Our agroforestry research is providing our local community with models of a better way to feed people while protecting the forest for future generations. And educating children about the importance of biodiversity will pay off in the long run when it's their turn to take charge.
