During the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, tens of thousands Armenian refugees, including women, children and the elderly were taken out to Armenia for security purposes. About 40,000 refugees lost their homes as a result of bombing and the opportunity to return to their homes doesn't seem realistic. Several thousand soldiers, mostly young people, were injured. The goal of the program is to provide emergency assistance to wounded soldiers and refugees living in different social centers in Armenia.

Challenge

After the war about 40,000 refugees, who have lost their homes, had to stay in Armenia. Many of the refugees didn't manage to take anything of their clothing and household items.Refugees are mainly located in hostels, social centers, where conditions are unsatisfactory, there is a lack of food and medicine, and they need urgent humanitarian aid.The goal of the program is to provide refugees with necessary products for living and to support wounded soldiers undergoing treatment in rehabilitation centers

Long-Term Impact

In the frames of the project, two groups of refugees living in social centers will receive food packages, medicines, hygiene products and clothing. There is no doubt that this will have a long-term impact on the their lives and will allow them to integrate to the society, protect their human rights and create a better life for themselves and their families.Wounded soldiers will receive quality prostheses, wheelchairs, crutches.hey will receive comprehensive assistance to return to normal life.
