Ukraine people are scared and stranded. Many people have left the country in the fear of being killed but many people are not mobile and can't leave while others want to stay too protect their livelihoods. Through our network of projects, community members and partners on the ground in the Ukraine a gift to this project will go directly to helping those living in the war zone.
Challenge
Russia have declared War and after COVID as a global family we are all faced with the possibilities of a third World War. People in Ukraine are moving to get out to save their lives but many people are not mobile so can't travel and others want to stay and protect their country. Supplies have run out, shops closed up, no money available from banks and so individuals are left stranded and taking shelter in underground tunnels and trains.
Long-Term Impact
Most are aware of the immediate needs to tend to after a disaster however, long term recovery is essential to building a sustainable community. We hope to efficiently provide support to Zimbabwe by working with local organisations on the ground to create long term and sustainable recovery to the community as they rebuild from this disaster.
