War crimes are being committed in Ukraine as hospitals come under attack to displace citizens. In only a few weeks, more than thirty hospitals have been affected by shelling, and a maternity hospital was targeted in an attack. BKC has heard the calls for aid from the doctors and nurses working tirelessly to ensure children get necessary healthcare. We aim to get essentials to hospitals in the short term and give funding for purchasing essential medical equipment in the long term.

Challenge

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's office says that in just a few short weeks, 34 hospitals have been shelled across the country. Even before the war, there was a need in Ukrainian hospitals for medical equipment and supplies. These war crimes aim to crumble the morale of those who cannot or will not flee. BKC is determined to aid children's hospitals and medical facilities access supplies and eventually buy the medical equipment necessary to afford children the healthcare they need.

Long-Term Impact

As attacks on hospitals - aimed at displacing people in cities - inevitably continue, BKC is committed to answering calls for aid from hospitals in need of emergency supplies. When normal operations can resume, we are committed to assisting in the funding of healthcare equipment that will save lives and ensure that children get proper healthcare. This project aims to secure healthcare items for Ukrainian hospitals so they can continue to function and support those who cannot and will not flee.
