The recurring conflicts in South Sudan have displaced thousands of people from their homes and disrupted their livelihood, making them vulnerable to access to safe and clean drinking water. 1) Provided safe and clean drinking water to 4000 Internal displaced persons and returnees. 2) 20 community members acquired skills in boreholes minor pump mechanics, water usage committees, and hygiene promoters 3)Drilling of four boreholes to provide clean water to 4000 people in rural communities.


Challenge

The recurring conflicts in South Sudan have displaced thousands of people from their homes and disrupted their livelihood, making them vulnerable to access to safe and clean drinking water. The majority moved to Juba city and settled on the outskirt of north Gudele. under this category; Internal Displaced person groups came from different states, decided to occupy part of the area, and Returnees who were repatriated voluntarily by the International Organization for Migration from Sudan to Juba.

Long-Term Impact

4000 people will have access to clean water Reduced cases of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and cholera will reduce among the population.
